GOLF COVID-19 POLICY
STAGE 2
EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MAY 4, 2020

For the safety of members and staff members alike, the following key aspects have been implemented in order to minimize multiple persons from touching the same surfaces, assist with social distancing, etc.:
  • Golf bag/club storage is unavailable until further notice.  Members are required to bring their golf bag and clubs with them and to take them home each day.  Until further notice, the golf staff members are not permitted to handle your golf bag or to clean your golf clubs.  For your convenience, golf carts will be staged in the designated golf parking lot.
  • If your golf clubs are currently stored at Aberdeen, please adhere to the following procedure.
    • Call the golf pro shop at 561-737-8662, between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, notifying them that you are wanting to pick up your golf clubs.
    • This service will be available from Wednesday, April 29, 2020 through Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, through the Takeout/Curbside Delivery Program.
    • Upon arrival to the Curbside Delivery check-in tent notify the parking attendant that you are there to pick-up your golf clubs.
    • Wait in the Curbside Delivery car line until it is your turn at the secondary Curbside Delivery tent.
    • When it is your turn to park at one of the designated Curbside Delivery parking spaces your golf clubs will then be hand delivered to your vehicle.  You will be required to open your trunk from the inside of your vehicle, while staying in your vehicle, and the curbside delivery attendant will place your golf clubs in your trunk.
  • We have modified our golf cart cleaning policy to allow for reuse of golf carts (during the same day) which continues to be in accordance with the Palm Beach County order.
  • Golf carts are restricted to one person unless the other player resides in the same household.
    • If someone is unable to drive a cart, they may submit a written request to the Board of Directors requesting permission to bring a driver who cannot play that round. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
  • One unisex restroom at the golf cart barn will be available for member use.
    • When waiting for the restroom members are required to be six feet apart.  Markings will be designated.
  • One unisex restroom on the golf course will be available for member use.  The beverage/snack station and the on course water and ice stations are not available until further notice.  It is important that you stay hydrated.  As such, we suggest that you bring your own beverages.
  • Towels (dry or iced) and sunscreen are unavailable until further notice. Please bring your own.
  • Scorecards and pencils are available upon request from the Starter.
  • Tees are unavailable until further notice.
  • All trash receptacles will be removed from the golf course and golf staging area.  Trash receptacles will be available at the designated golf parking area.  Please throw your trash away (including scorecards and pencils) after your round.
  • Cups, at the greens, will be cut so that the cup extends above the ground.  A putt will be considered as holed if it hits the cup.
  • For the purpose of depth perception, flags will be used as usual however players may not touch the flagsticks.
  • You are still required to repair ball marks and to fill divots.
  • Rakes will be removed from the course.
  • All ball washers will be covered and are unavailable until further notice.
  • The front driving range is available for use no more than 10 minutes prior to your tee time.  This is restricted to the day of play only.
    • Use is restricted to those stations equipped with range balls.
  • The putting green and back practice facilities are unavailable until further notice.
  • The golf locker rooms are unavailable until further notice.  Should you have items stored in your locker, we cannot assist you at this time.
  • The golf pro shop is unavailable until further notice.
    • Golf balls are available for purchase through the Takeout/Curbside Delivery Program.
Golf Tee Times:
  • Daily rounds are limited to 9-holes per member.  An 18-hole golf cart pack will cover two 9-hole rounds.
  • No guests are permitted until further notice.
  • There will be continuous tee times from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 12-minute tee time interval on 9-holes. The other 9-holes will be closed.  Each tee time will be for a maximum of 4 players.
  • The 9-holes that are not open for play remain available for exercising (walking, jogging and bike riding).
Arrival Logistics:
  • Since the practice facility is closed, golfers may not arrive more than 20 minutes prior to their tee time.
  • Golfers should pull into the golf parking lot and, while in their car, check in with the staff members at the check-in tent. The staff member will ask for the member name and number followed by checking that day’s tee sheet to confirm that the member has a golf tee time.  No signing of a chit will occur.
    • Any member arriving for golf that is not on the tee sheet for that day will be turned away and told to go home.
  • The staff member will instruct the member to park their car in the designated golf parking area. Golf carts will be staged in alternating parking spaces leaving a spot for a member to park their car next to a golf cart of their choosing.
  • The member will park their car, transfer their own bag into the golf cart followed by driving their golf cart to the golf staging area.  A golf starter will be at the golf staging area.
  • The starter will announce, via microphone, when you are to move to the tee and tee off.
  • Upon the completion of your golf round, the member is required to drive their golf cart into the designated golf parking area and park the cart in a vacant spot.  Please take away anything that you brought with you - do not leave any items behind. The member is required to transfer their clubs from their golf cart to their vehicle followed by leaving the Club’s premises.
To Request a Tee Time:
  • The Golf Pro shop will be closed.
  • Effective immediately the Chelsea golf tee time reservation system will begin taking requests for Monday, May 11, 2020 and thereafter.  The tee time assignment process will revert back to the criteria that was in place prior to COVID-19.  As you are aware, requests that get entered into the Chelsea system begin getting assigned 4 days in advance of the day of play based upon your membership category.  In order to accomplish this please note the following.
    • Members will have until Thursday, May 7, 2020, at midnight, to enter tee time requests into Chelsea for play on Monday, May 11, 2020, until midnight on Friday, May 8, 2020 for play on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, etc.
    • Any requests that were previously made for May 11, 2020 and thereafter through the temporary Stage 1 portal will be voided.  Therefore, it is important that you make new tee time requests via Chelsea.
  • As was in place prior to COVID-19, please contact the Golf Pro Shop, at 561-737-8662, for any additions, changes or cancellations that you may have.
